Services / Experience Design
Products people understand the first time they use them
Good design is not decoration. It is the difference between software people adopt and software they route around. We research how your users actually work, design around that, and test it before a line of production code is written.
What experience design covers
Software that confuses users fails quietly: support tickets pile up, adoption stalls, and teams drift back to spreadsheets. The cause is almost never missing features. It is design decisions made without ever watching a real user try to get work done.
UX research
Interviews, field observation and journey mapping that reveal how work really happens, not how the org chart says it does.
Product and interface design
Screen-by-screen UI design for web and mobile, from information architecture to the final polished layouts.
Rapid prototyping
Clickable prototypes that make decisions concrete, so stakeholders react to something real instead of debating documents.
Usability testing
Structured sessions watching real users complete real tasks, with findings ranked by how much they cost the business.
Design systems
A shared component library that keeps every screen consistent and lets developers build new features twice as fast.
Accessibility
Designs that meet WCAG standards so the product works for every user, on every device, in bright sun on a site or a phone in a taxi.
What you walk away with
Every experience design engagement ends with assets you own outright: code, designs, documentation and the knowledge to run them. No black boxes, no lock-in.
- A research report with user journeys and prioritised pain points
- Information architecture and user flows for every core task
- High-fidelity UI designs for web and mobile screens
- A clickable prototype tested with at least five real users
- A documented design system with reusable components
- Developer-ready specs and handoff sessions

Research
We interview and observe your users, map their journeys and agree the handful of tasks the product must make effortless.

Straight answers on experience design
What does a design engagement cost?
A focused design sprint on one product area runs R80,000 to R150,000. Full product design with research, prototyping and a design system lands between R200,000 and R500,000. Design typically comes to 15 to 25 percent of a total build budget.
How long does the design phase take?
Research takes 2 to 3 weeks, design and prototyping another 3 to 6 weeks depending on scope. For most products you have a tested, developer-ready design in 6 to 9 weeks.
Can you redesign an existing product without rebuilding it?
Yes. A UX audit plus targeted redesign of the worst friction points is often the highest-return project we do. We work within your current technical constraints and sequence changes so development can ship them incrementally.
Do we really need user research, or can we skip to design?
You can skip it, and about half our redesign work comes from products that did. Even one week of interviews changes what gets built. If budget is tight we compress research, but we will not design blind and call it strategy.
